Great interface to get to forecasts across the US
Just as good as the version on the computer.
Very convenient and reliable. For the work that I do, I use this daily.
Great app. Very easy to use. Link to trend forecasting is nice
Wished I would have found this earlier! Getting emails from forecast centers is nice to read while sipping coffee but this is a great tool that allows you to check multiple areas quickly. Nice to have the big picture right at your fingertips.
This is a great way to keep track of the trending snow patterns. All at your your fingertips, the access allows you to easily check out conditions over the course of the year. I highly recommend this app for anyone heading into the backcountry.
This app is aweful, if they are charging dont get it. Not only do they not have at least the majority of places covered, but the places they do seem as though they are innaculate guesstamites, you or I could make better estimations with what records we have available. That aside, the color code is skewed and the borders they have for countries clash with the rating of avalanche chance. It seems carelessly planned and its estimations are not cared for. This app is careless, but I like the idea, so I hope I find a better app for the same purpose.
Direct link to avy center forecasts and reports. Fast and easy to use, excellent interface. My only criticism is the font size on the reports is small and requires a bit of zooming in to read easily.
Quick and easy! Would like to see new locations and supplemental avy tools (clinometer, snow crystal reference images, temp tables, etc.). Still a great app though, check it every time we leave the house.
At first I was looking for a CAIC app for Colorados snow pack but had to pay for that. But this app is so much better. It shows a map of the area your phone is closest to and gives an avi forecast for the range with colored avi ratings. If you click on a range it pulls up the forecast for that region. For Colorado obviously its CAIC but they gave compiled all the forecasting websites in to the map so when you click on a area that shows up. Its great for stuff you ski every day and also great for traveling to ski stuff you have never seen before.
Great app. Some areas seem to be missing, but not many. What one or two reviewers dont seem to get is that all the forecasts are sourced from other agencies; the author is just bringing them together here.
This is the must have app for anyone who intends to travel in the backcountry. So glad this is available.
I love it and use it all the time. Quick access to my local forecast and the map is cool-looking and helpful.
I like this app, and the ease of use, but it needs to link to the Crested Butte Avalanche Center, instead of the CAIC, for the Crested Butte/Gunnison CO region. The CBAC provides a better forecast for the Crested Butte zone. The CBAC forecasters live and ski here every day.
Brings all the avalanche bulletins in the US and Canada together. Very easy to use and understand.
Its better than nothing, but the regions that it collects reports for are limited.
Shows map of avalanche areas and rating. Clicks through to the specific report for that area.
Simple to get basic info, east to use. Great job on this one. Tried many others and this is the best. Thanks.
This is a great functional interface to local avalanche centers. Great job!
